Starting from Dehradun, the journey passes through Govindghat, Ghangaria, and finally into the Valley of Flowers, a protected national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The valley sits at around 12,000 ft and is surrounded by snow-clad peaks, waterfalls, and glaciers.
The trail includes river crossings, lush greenery, and scenic mountain landscapes. Trekkers also visit Hemkund Sahib, one of the highest Gurudwaras in the world, adding a spiritual touch to the journey.
This trek is ideal for beginners and nature lovers, offering a moderate level of difficulty. The valley is in full bloom from July to September, making it a paradise for photographers and botany enthusiasts.

Itinerary

Drive from Dehradun to Govindghat via Joshimath. Enjoy scenic views of rivers, valleys, and mountain roads. Reach by evening, check into hotel, and rest for the trek.
Day 2: Govindghat to Ghangaria
Start trekking from Govindghat to Ghangaria via Pulna village. The trail follows the river and passes through forests and waterfalls. Reach Ghangaria, the base for Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Overnight stay.
Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back
Trek to the Valley of Flowers and explore the vibrant landscape filled with colorful flowers and scenic beauty. Spend time enjoying the valley and return to Ghangaria for overnight stay.
Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back
Trek to Hemkund Sahib, a sacred high-altitude Gurudwara. Enjoy stunning views and spiritual atmosphere. Return to Ghangaria.
Day 5: Ghangaria to Govindghat to Joshimath
Descend from Ghangaria to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath. Relax at hotel and enjoy your evening.
Day 6: Joshimath to Dehradun
Drive back to Dehradun with unforgettable memories of the trek.
